Ventilate – Dust – Sort – Throw out – Tidy

  • HEPA filter vacuum cleaner + with its upholstery nozzle: corded vacuum cleaner => for thorough cleaning (more powerful, consistent suction power)
  • 3-in-1 vacuum cleaner (since 2022, saves time and effort) => for quick cleanups
  • Homemade lemongrass dusting spray (olive oil + essential oil + water + vinegar)
  • Microfiber cloth
  • White vinegar, rubbing alcohol
1. Playing favourite music (create a cleaning music playlist)

2. Open the window (for 15 mins each day)

3. Vacuum floor
=> with a 3-in-1 vacuum cleaner, cleaning and washing floors in a single pass
=> vacuum before dusting at my place, to prevent dust from being raised and circulated into the air while walking/moving
=> to prevent dirt and disease, remove shoes before entering a home

4. Pick up the rubbish

5. Declutter: floor, sofa, tables, amrchairs, ottomans, chairs, furnitures, shelfs, mantlepiece
  • in the trash, papers, leaflets, magazines...
  • if needed, remove everything that shouldn’t be in the room and put it in its correct place: clothes, accessories, mugs...

6. Dust by vacuuming with the upholstery nozzle
=> dust high surfaces first and work downward
=> start at one end of the room and move in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction
=> move objects and dust under them and replace them in their original position
=> focus on small gaps: pictures and frames, mantlepiece, furnitures & shelfs, knick-knacks, books, appliances, coffee table, sofa & amrchairs, ottomans, cushions, lamps and lampshades...

7. Dust TV: dust the screen before using a cleaning agent, wipe away any dust with a microfiber cloth

8. If needed, vacuum again

Homemade lemongrass dusting spray

  • in a spray bottle: mix 2 tbsp of olive oil + 10 drops lemongrass essential oil* and shake well
  • add 500 ml water + 4 tbsp white vinegar and shake well
  • shake the spray bottle well before each use
  • spray on the cloth and wipe down all surfaces
* known for its powerful antibacterial and insect-repelling properties (especially, an effective repellent against mosquitoes) => two birds one stone

Sautéed potatoes, Grandma's way

If you don't like potatoes, you cannot be trusted I love starchy food , cereal grains and some root vegetables.  I love potato : air fryer or oven chips, baked, Dauphinoise, curry, mash, roasted, salad,... and of course sautéed, very easy and simple. Potatoes, one of the most versatile vegetables, provide essential nutrients like fibre, vitamins (vitamin C, B6...), and minerals (potassium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium...). Ingredients 1 tbsp grapeseed or rapseed oil * 2 potatoes, cut into rings each, about 5 mm salt, pepper 1 garlic clove, minced herbs, finely chopped (chives, or parsley or thyme) Preparation Heat the oil in a large frying pan, add the potatoes and fry over a medium-high heat, turning them occasionally until they begin to brown.  The edges are crispy. Anne-Marie Zilberman masterpieces

Art was an additional emotion applied to skillful technique - Charlie Chaplin The eternal feminine beauty Golden Tears , also known as Freya's Tears' , a famous oil painting with gold leaf, is often attributed to Gustav Klimt but was actually painted by French artist Anne-Marie Zilberman who was influenced by his work. We have little information about her.  We know that after studying Graphic Arts in Paris , she designed advertising posters and then became a stylist (Chakok, Gérard Darel, Kenzo, Galeries Lafayette ...). She  has also created illustrated posters for the Légendaire, festival du Conte & de l'Imaginaire (festival of tales and legends) for 20 years. She likes to represent soft and nostalgic female figures, the eternal feminine beauty. Exeter (Devon, UK - 2011) Art wasn't supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something - Rainbow Rowell (Eleanor & Park) The chisel artist Alexandro Farto aka Vhils (15/02/1987, Aquarius), born in Lisbon , is a Portuguese graffiti and street artist, Vhils is his tag name.  He studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art * in London, lives and works in London and Lisbon. He started out quite young as a graffiti artist, painting trains and walls in the suburbs of Lisbon.  He said Graffiti was my first art school and calls his art creative destruction . Considered one of the top urban artists in the world, he uses a unique technique that involves carving into and chiseling away at the walls to create stunning portraits and abstract designs.
