International baggage rules

Always check with the airline before travelling, how many and what size bags I can take, and to know whether they add any special restrictions.

International flights varies among airlines and depends on the class of travel.  Generally, passengers are permitted to carry 1 piece of hand luggage and 1 small item (handbag, laptop) on board.

The standard size limit for a check-in luggage is 158cm in total dimensions and the weight limit ranges from 15 to 30kg, depending on the class of travel.

=> without exterior pockets (protection against theft and illicit items by strangers)
=> to avoid wasting time or lose items at the security control, I put my jacket in it
=> a distinctive sign: red and purple ribbons on the handle

Usually around 15kg fully packed, and I keep the excess never more than that, otherwise it's too heavy!
Also, think about those who handled them and who often lug bags all day long!

  • cap or hat (depending on destination)

  • toiletry bag (upcycled vanity case)
  • shampoo, shower gel
  • mosquito repellent spray (in 2 biodegrable plastic bags)
  • my travel cleaning kit: rubbing alcohol + lavender essential oil (for cleaning and also purifying the air) + some paper towels and biodegrable disinctant wipes
  • umbrella (depending on destination)
  • tissues
  • small first aid kit by the Red Cross
  • favourite vegan biscuits
  • gifts (for family/friends, depending on destination)
  • ideally, a lightweight travel sheet, otherwise, use a pareo or a sarong
  • a travel laundry bag
  • 1 pack of surgical face mask

My rolling clothes in packing cubes by type

  • white cotton vests, underwear*, sanitary pads, socks & knee-highs => in a quilted makeup bag
  • blouses, tunics
  • capri pants: white, beige, kaki
  • sundresses, swimsuits, nightdress, face towel, sisal eco shower Mitt
  • cap or hat (depending on destination and length of stay)
  • shoes in shoe bags (or in biodegrable plastic bags): comfortable sandals, flip flops for hotel and beach
* I consider socks/knee-highs to be a part of underwear

Sautéed potatoes, Grandma's way

If you don't like potatoes, you cannot be trusted I love starchy food , cereal grains and some root vegetables.  I love potato : air fryer or oven chips, baked, Dauphinoise, curry, mash, roasted, salad,... and of course sautéed, very easy and simple. Potatoes, one of the most versatile vegetables, provide essential nutrients like fibre, vitamins (vitamin C, B6...), and minerals (potassium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium...). Anne-Marie Zilberman masterpieces

Art was an additional emotion applied to skillful technique - Charlie Chaplin The eternal feminine beauty Golden Tears , also known as Freya's Tears' , a famous oil painting with gold leaf, is often attributed to Gustav Klimt but was actually painted by French artist Anne-Marie Zilberman who was influenced by his work. Exeter (Devon, UK - 2011) Art wasn't supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something - Rainbow Rowell (Eleanor & Park) The chisel artist Alexandro Farto aka Vhils (15/02/1987, Aquarius), born in Lisbon , is a Portuguese graffiti and street artist, Vhils is his tag name.  He studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art * in London, lives and works in London and Lisbon.
