  • Eco-friendly toilet cleaner
  • Homemade bathroom cleaner
  • Lavender essential oil*
  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar
  • Eco-friendly dish soaps
* only use 1or 2 essential oils (on the path of minimalism)

1. Playing favourite music (create a cleaning music playlist)

Heroes Tonight - Janji ft. Johnning

2. Open the window (for 15 mins each day)

3. Declutter and collect the rubbish

4. Collect dirty clothes/towels

5. Take the bin out of the room (just next to the door, always accessible)

6. Vacuum before dusting (at my place)
=> to prevent dust from being raised and circulated into the air while walking/moving
=> to prevent dirt and disease, remove shoes before entering a home

7. Toilet
  1. Wear gloves
  2. Turn off the water supply to the toilet and flush
  3. Pour cleaner around bowl and let it soak for 15 mins (in the meantime, clean the bathtub)
  4. Spray and wipe down all exterior surfaces
  5. Spray and wipe down lid and seat
  6. Clean bowl: scrub thoroughly from top down and flush with the lid down
  7. Leave the brush between the seat and the toilet and let it air dry for at least an hour
8. Bathtub
  1. Remove everything from the tub (just my organic shower gel - 1L and an eco-friendly shower bath ball)
  2. Remove hair
  3. Wet the wall tiles and the tub
  4. Sprinkle with baking soda, spray vinegar over the top and squirt a few drops of dish soap
  5. Scrub them in circular and let it sit for a few minutes to loosen any dirt or grime (in the meantime, clean the sink)
  6. Scrub the bathtub, starting from the opposite side of the drain (with a scrubbing sponge on an articulated mop head with adjustable telescopic handle)
  7. Cleaning the faucet
  8. Scrub the tiles from the top-down and all around the tub
  9. Then, wipe down the edges of the tub
9. Sink
  1. Repeat the same step as for the bathtub
  2. Use the same scrubbing sponge of the tub, still enough product to scrub the sink, the countertop and the tiles
  3. Rinse and wipe off the sink and any remaining water with a dry microfiber cloth
10. Then spray the vinegar on the cloth and wipe down all surfaces: mirror, heated towel rail, furniture...

11. Vacuum again if needed and mop the floor

12. Empty the bin and put it back in its place

13. Leave to ventilate a few moments before closing the window

14. Always keep toilet lid and bathroom door closed (hygienic + Feng Shui)*
