Natural, organic, vegan and cruelty-free products
  • 3-in-1 vacuum cleaner (since 2022, saves time and effort)
  • Homemade all-purpose cleaner (water + vinegar + dish soap)
  • Organic/Eco-friendly dish soap
  • Wooden dish brush (FSC 100%)
  • Microfiber cloth
  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar

Sort and organize kitchen according to function

  • place everyday dishes and glasses near the dishwasher and dish drainer for easy unloading
  • basins, colanders, cleaning products, bin under sink cabinet
  • rarely-used kitchen items on top of the upper cabinet
  • salt, pepper, spices, herbs, condiments... next to stove

Clean as I go

  • take opportunities to clean continually throughout the working day
  • clean while cooking
  • never leave a dirty dish in the sink (clutter attracts clutter before we know it, we have a whole pile)

Daily cleaning routine

  • in the morning: Empty the dishwasher and dish drainer, wash dirty dishes, clean counters, empty bin, load the dishwasher,
  • in the evening: wash dishes, wipe down counters, load and run the dishwasher, tidy up, scrub sink

1. Playing favourite music (create a cleaning music playlist)

2. Open the window (for 15 mins each day)

3. Vacuum floor
=> with a 3-in-1 vacuum cleaner, cleaning and washing floors in a single pass
=> vacuum before dusting at my place, to prevent dust from being raised and circulated into the air while walking/moving
=> to prevent dirt and disease, remove shoes before entering a home

4. If needed, empty dishwasher and dish drainer and wash the dishes, load the dishwasher

5. Clean the sink

6. Clean an area at a time and switch to the next when the first section gets clean; work left to right: clear and wipe down the counters/cabinet doors/stove, fill the diswasher...

7. Empty and clean the bin

8. Mop the floor again if needed

Homemade all-purpose disinfectant spray

  • in a spray bottle: mix 200 ml water + 100 ml vinegar + 2 tbsp rubbing alcohol + 15 drops Tea Tree and shake well
  • shake the spray bottle well before each use

Stir fried broccoli, carrot and mushroom

with flat rice noodles Maybe broccoli doesn't like you either Another simple and delicious stir-fried vegetables, my way.  I use the same seasoning for most of my vegetables dishes. I don't like ginger in stir fry and don't like chilli heat either, so I leave them out. Ingredients for 3-4 servings 1 tbsp grapeseed or rapseed oil * 1 garlic clove, minced 1 small shallot, minced 1 small head of broccoli & stalk peeled, washed, blanched, cut into small florets, and stalk into thick slices 1 medium carrot, washed, peeled, blanched with broccoli, cut diagonally in 5 mm slices 2-3 button mushrooms, washed, peeled, cut into 5 mm slices optional, garnish: herbs (chives, coriander...) Easy homemade vegetable broth from juice pulp
