My morning routine
  1. Stretch
  2. 5 mins yoga poses
  3. 15 mins reading inspiring book
  4. Allow bed to air out before making it
  5. Open the blinds and windows
  6. Brush teeth
  7. Wash face
  8. Skincare routine
  9. Get dressed and tie hair
  10. Empty dishwasher
  11. Load dishwasher and wash dishes
  12. Wipe counters
  13. Drink a mug of herbal infusion
  14. French breakfast* while
  15. Catch up on emails/news
  16. Make bed
  17. Close the windows

  2. Drink a big glass of water
  3. 5 favourite yoga poses
  4. 15 mins reading inspiring book
  5. Allow bed to air out before making it
  6. Open the blinds and windows
  7. Brush teeth
  8. Wash face: splash cool water on face 7 times (ayurvedic ritual)
  9. Skincare routine: mist, oil, eye cream, moisterizer, balm and sun cream (if needed)
  10. Makeup (if needed): just a translucent powder
  11. Get dressed and tie hair
  12. Empty dishwasher
  13. Load dishwasher and wash dishes
  14. Wipe counters
  15. Drink a mug of herbal infusion
  16. Breakfast: crunchy muesli with oat milk or tartine of bread slathered with jam with oat or soy milk hot chocolate, while
  17. Catch up on emails/news
  18. Make bed
  19. Close the windows

My ideal morning ritual

  1. Wake up at 6:00 am (vata people)
  2. 1 min deep breathing before opening eyes
  3. Stretch and yawn
  4. Yoga
  5. Cleanse aura
  6. Meditate
  7. Savor the stillness of the morning, the silence of the dawn
  8. Read inspiring book
  9. Open the window, ventilate and purify* bed and room
  10. 20 mins oil pulling while
  11. Make herbal infusion**
  12. Empty dishwasher
  13. Load dishwasher and wash dishes
  14. Wipe counters
  15. Make fresh juice (in Summer: pick up herbs, fruits in the garden)
  16. After 20 mins, spit the oil (in the trash) and brush teeth
  17. Beauty routine
  18. Get dressed and tie hair
  19. Drink a mug of herbal infusion
  20. Breakfast: drink homemade juice while
  21. Catch up on emails/news
  22. Make bed
  23. Close the windows
  24. Quick bathroom clean
  25. Start laundry
  26. Fold and put away laundry (if needed)

* organic scented candles or incense or essential oil diffuser
** moringa or thym or rosemary or mint or a mix of herbs from garden
