Travel ritual: my luggage organisers

I love containers and storage, so I love travel organiser bags and also small bags of all kinds: packing cubes, pencil cases, pouch, vanity case...

Travel organisers

  • grey packing cubes

  • double zipper pulls make opening/closing simple and fast
  • mesh top panel for easy identification of contents, and ventilation
  • webbing handle for convenience when carried by itself
=> this size is great easy to use, to see what’s in them, and a great fit in my suitcases. There are smaller and bigger but the large one is too big and the small one too small.

In each packing cube,

I roll clothes up to create extra space.  It's is more effective and a great way to save luggage space.

I collect clothes into the same category and store them all in the same bag:
  • white cotton vests, underwear*, sanitary pads, nightdress => in a quilted makeup bag
  • blouses, tunics
  • capri pants: white, beige, kaki
  • sundresses, swimsuits, face towel, scarf, formal dress
  • cap or hat (depending on destination and length of stay)
  • shoes in shoe bags (or in biodegrable plastic bags): comfortable sandals, flip flops for hotel and beach
* I consider socks/knee-highs to be a part of underwea

Stir fried broccoli, carrot and mushroom

with flat rice noodles Maybe broccoli doesn't like you either Another simple and delicious stir-fried vegetables, my way.  I use the same seasoning for most of my vegetables dishes. I don't like ginger in stir fry and don't like chilli heat either, so I leave them out. Ingredients for 3-4 servings 1 tbsp grapeseed or rapseed oil * 1 garlic clove, minced 1 small shallot, minced 1 small head of broccoli & stalk peeled, washed, blanched, cut into small florets, and stalk into thick slices 1 medium carrot, washed, peeled, blanched with broccoli, cut diagonally in 5 mm slices 2-3 button mushrooms, washed, peeled, cut into 5 mm slices optional, garnish: herbs (chives, coriander...) Easy homemade vegetable broth from juice pulp
