Travel ritual: my luggage

my favourite luggage
my usual luggage

To me, the most worrisome part of traveling comes before any of the traveling actually occurs: the suitcase-packing process.  It's a challenging and anxiety-filled process - I am caught between wanting my suitcase to be light
and worrying I am going to need every single item in my bedroom

International baggage rules

Always check with the airline before travelling: how many and what size bags I can take

International flights varies from airline to airline.  Generally,
  • the checked-in luggage weight limit may range between 20-23kg, and allow 1, and often 2, pieces of checked luggage per passenger
  • carry-on baggage should have maximum length of 56cm, width of 45cm and depth of 25cm (dimensions include wheels, handles, side pockets...), weight limit may range between 7-8kg, and to board with 1 personal item and 1 piece of carry-on
=> carry-on baggage also varies according to the airline, the cabin class and the size of the aircraft
